Use the assistant for my work

Ask questions and complete personal tasks using natural written instructions. This article is for anyone completing this task.

Before you start

The Personal assistant lets you find Talento information and complete tasks through a conversation. Write what you need in your own words: you do not need to learn commands or know the technical name of each option.

What the assistant can do depends on your company's active features, your user type, and your permissions. Employees can work with their own information. Managers may have access to information about their teams, while administrators may have a broader company view.

Information

Your company must enable AI features and give you access to use the assistant. If it does not appear in your menu, ask an administrator.

Open the Personal assistant

  1. Open Personal assistant from the Talento menu.
  2. Enter your request in the message field at the bottom of the page.
  3. Send the message and wait for the response to finish before continuing.

Some pages can also open the assistant in a side panel. Where supported, the panel keeps the context of the page you are viewing.

Write a clear request

Start with the action or information you need, then add details that identify it:

  • Dates: “Show my clock-in entries from last week.”
  • Amounts: “Log a EUR 25 taxi expense from today.”
  • People: “Find Ana Garcia in the Sales team.”
  • Outcome: “I want to request annual leave from 15 to 19 July.”

If a detail is missing or more than one record matches, the assistant may ask you to clarify the request. Reply in the same conversation without repeating everything you already provided.

Tip

Use specific names, dates, and amounts. “Show my March expenses” produces a more useful result than “Show expenses.”

Find information about my work

Depending on your company's features, you can ask for help to:

  • check schedules, clock-in entries, and your current activity;
  • review absences, absence categories, and remaining allowances;
  • find expenses, goals, and tasks;
  • look up people in the employee directory;
  • review skills, bookings, onboarding plans, surveys, or evaluations;
  • work with CRM, purchasing, or invoicing records when you have access to those areas.

The assistant follows the same permissions and visibility rules as Talento. If you cannot open information in the application, you should not be able to obtain it through the conversation either.

Review an action before continuing

The assistant may retrieve information or make a change. The flow depends on the task:

  • Some actions show a preview. Check names, dates, amounts, and states. Nothing in the preview is applied until you confirm it.
  • Some straightforward actions can run immediately. The final response tells you whether the action was completed or an error occurred.

If a preview is wrong, do not confirm it. Explain the correction in your next message, such as: “Change the date to 16 July.”

Warning

The assistant can misunderstand a request or return an incomplete answer. Check important details and open the relevant Talento page when you need to verify that a change was recorded correctly.

Continue a conversation or start a new one

You can ask follow-up questions such as “What about the previous month?” or “Show only the pending ones.” The assistant uses earlier messages in the active conversation as context.

Select New chat when you want to start without that context. Talento clears the previous conversation from view and opens a new one for the current day.

The assistant toolbar also lets you open saved prompts, show or hide quick suggestions, copy a response, and open the built-in user guide.

Outcome

You can verify the result in your personal area or in the state described in the steps above.

Common problems

  1. Rewrite the request as one clear task with more specific details.
  2. Check that names and dates belong to the company you currently have open.
  3. Start a new chat if earlier messages are interfering with the request.
  4. If you see Out of AI credits, contact an administrator.
  5. If the service is unavailable, wait a few minutes and try again.

Do not repeat a create request several times without checking Talento first. If the first request completed despite an unclear response, repeating it could create duplicate records.
