Before you start
The Invoices area lets you prepare and issue sales invoices, download their PDFs, and record money received. It also retains the status and history of every invoice, clearly separating drafts from issued, corrected, or cancelled documents.
You can search by period, status, customer, item, or invoice type. Visibility controls which people, offices, teams, or roles can find and open each invoice.
Warning
This guide explains how Talento works, not which fiscal treatment to choose. Confirm the correct invoice type, tax, exemption, and legal text with your accountant.
Prepare the initial configuration
Before creating the first invoice, review:
- Issuing company and office: legal name, tax ID, address, currency, and contact details.
- Numbering series: each office has its own prefix and next number for standard invoices, corrective credit notes, and, when configured, simplified invoices.
- Customers: name, legal name, tax ID, country, and billing address.
- Items and taxes: the name shown on the line, usual price, and tax rate.
- Payment methods: the categories available when recording a payment.
- Retentions and legal notes: configure these if they form part of your invoices.
When Verifactu is enabled, take particular care with the company's and customers' fiscal details. Talento restricts customer choices to records valid for that flow where required.
Configure an office's invoice series
Open Invoice series, select the office that issues the documents, and review the three available series:
- Invoices: used for that office's standard invoices.
- Credit notes: keeps corrective invoices in a separate sequence.
- Simplified invoices: optional. Leave both the prefix and next number blank to share the standard invoice series; enter a next number to create an independent series.
In each series, the prefix is optional and the next number identifies the next document to be issued. The page previews the resulting identifier. Changes apply only to future documents; issued invoices keep their number.
Configure numbering on the dedicated Invoice series page, not in the office's general edit form. Check the office and next number before saving, especially when multiple offices issue documents.
Result
The Invoice series page shows the resulting identifier and the next number for each office and document type.
Troubleshooting
If an option is missing, check the active module, specific permission, and record scope. If the configuration is correct and the problem continues, keep the displayed message and contact support.
