Manage workforce planning

Review a specific period and create absences, clock-in entries, or schedule assignments. This article is for people who configure or administer this feature.

Contents

Before you start

The Calendar brings together events that affect your working day. Depending on the features your company uses, it may show absences, schedules, on-call duties, bookings, and other work-related activities.

What appears depends on your permissions and the selected filter. You can see your own calendar, while a manager may also be able to view the teams or offices within their management scope.

Information

The Calendar displays information created elsewhere in Talento. To correct an event, you will normally need to open its detail or return to the feature where it was created.

Open the Management calendar to compare several employees over a specific period. It is available to managers and administrators according to their permissions.

Search a period and group of people

  1. Set the start and end dates.
  2. When useful, narrow the list by team, office, company, or whether people report to you directly or indirectly.
  3. To review named individuals, select them in Employees.
  4. Run the search and review one row per person.

Selecting individual employees takes priority over the wider team, office, or company filters. If the end date is earlier than the start date, Talento adjusts the range so it can display a valid period.

Add or correct information for a day

Open the available actions for an employee and date. Depending on your permissions, you can:

  • create an absence;
  • add a manual clock-in entry;
  • assign a schedule;
  • mark the day as unavailable.

Talento opens the appropriate form with the employee and date already selected. Review every field before saving, particularly when the change covers more than one day.

Open the absence or resource view

The Management calendar links to two more focused views:

  • The Absences view provides a timeline centred on requests, categories, conflicts, and on-call duties.
  • The Resources view shows the use of resources you can access.

Use these specialised views when you need more detail than the general planning grid can show.

Information

Filters and actions follow each user's management scope. The calendar cannot be used to view or change employees outside that scope.

Result

You can verify the result on the settings page, in the list, or through the status described above.

Common problems

If an option is missing, check that the module is active and that you have the required permission and record scope. If the configuration is correct and the problem continues, keep the message shown and contact support.
