Before you start
The Calendar brings together events that affect your working day. Depending on the features your company uses, it may show absences, schedules, on-call duties, bookings, and other work-related activities.
What appears depends on your permissions and the selected filter. You can see your own calendar, while a manager may also be able to view the teams or offices within their management scope.
Information
The Calendar displays information created elsewhere in Talento. To correct an event, you will normally need to open its detail or return to the feature where it was created.
Managers can use Calendar to compare their own events with the people they manage.
View a team or office calendar
Use the selectors in the calendar header to change the scope:
- My schedule shows your own events.
- My team combines accessible events for your team.
- Select team lets you choose a team you manage.
- Select office lets you choose an accessible office.
- The Resources view shows bookings for a particular resource.
Team and office selectors only appear when you have a corresponding management scope. Managers can therefore receive different filtering options.
Check coverage before making a decision
Use the calendar to spot overlapping absences, on-call duties, bookings, and other commitments before approving a request or changing a plan.
The Calendar provides context; approvals happen in the feature that owns the request. For example, approve an absence from Absence requests, not from the personal monthly calendar.
Warning
An event appearing on the Calendar does not necessarily mean it is approved. Check its status before treating it as final.
Result
You can verify the result in the team view or through the status described above.
Common problems
If an option is missing, it may depend on your permissions, the active modules, or company configuration. Ask an administrator to review your access; you do not need to repeat the task or choose an unsuitable alternative.
