For administrators

Configure activities

Define shared categories and fields that make follow-up easy to filter and analyse. This article is for people who configure or administer this feature.

Contents

Before you begin

The Sales activities area turns each follow-up into concrete work: a call, meeting, email, demonstration, proposal, or another task. Each activity retains its related contact or other CRM record, dates, status, category, and notes so the next step does not depend on one person's memory.

Information

Activities require CRM access. What you can create or view depends on your permissions and the commercial records available to you.

Configure activity categories

Open Activity categories and maintain a concise set the team recognises, such as Call, Email, Meeting, or Proposal. Use colour and order to improve scanning.

Before renaming or deleting a category, consider the effect on existing history and filters.

Add custom fields

Use CRM custom fields for additional information that every activity of a type needs.

To create an activity automatically from lead capture, an opportunity-stage change, or another event, configure a rule under CRM automations.

Result

You can confirm the result on the settings page, in the list, or in the status described in the steps above.

Common problems

If an option is missing, check that the module is active, that you have the specific permission, and that the record is within your scope. If the configuration is correct and the problem continues, keep the displayed message and contact support.
