Before you start
Risk management brings health protocols, medical examinations, deliveries of personal protective equipment (PPE, labelled EPI in Talento), risk assessments, and preventive measures together. The dashboard uses record dates and statuses to highlight what needs attention.
Information
These pages are available only to administrators when the Risk management module is active. The medical-examination and EPI-delivery lists include active employees in the company.
Warning
Medical examinations contain particularly sensitive information. Record only what occupational risk management requires, limit notes and attachments to relevant information, and do not share or export this data outside authorised channels.
Prepare the data that the records will use:
- create the health protocols that you want to associate with medical examinations;
- check that the required job positions and offices already exist;
- confirm that the items you intend to issue are configured as EPI in the catalogue;
- agree who will be responsible for each risk assessment and preventive measure.
A medical examination does not require a health protocol, and an assessment does not require a job position or office. However, adding these relationships makes records easier to find and review later.
Create a risk assessment
In Risk assessments, create an assessment and enter:
- required: name, assessment date, and assessor;
- optional: job position, office, description, review date, and supporting attachments;
- status: Draft, Active, or Archived.
Use Draft while preparing the content, Active while it is current, and Archived when it should be retained only as history. The status helps organise the assessment, but it does not control the review alert: any assessment whose review date has arrived appears under Needs attention.
On the detail page, a review appears as No review scheduled when it has no date, Review overdue when the date has passed, Review due soon when it is due today or within the next 30 days, and Review scheduled when it is further away. On the dashboard, reviews due today already count as items that need attention.
You can filter the list by job position, office, status, and assessment-date range.
Assign and track preventive measures
Within an assessment, add one measure for every risk that needs action. The identified risk and measure description are required. You can also enter:
- severity and probability, both from 1 to 5;
- responsible person and implementation date;
- status: Pending, In progress, or Completed.
If you enter severity and probability, Talento multiplies the two values and classifies the result:
| Score | Level |
|---|---|
| 1–4 | Low |
| 5–9 | Medium |
| 10–15 | High |
| 16–25 | Critical |
A pending or in-progress measure appears as Overdue when its implementation date has passed. Overdue is a calculated visual status: the saved status remains Pending or In progress until you update it. Use the rating to prioritise work, but also document the professional judgement and specific action.
Duplicate an assessment for review
When a previous assessment is a useful starting point, select Duplicate from its detail page. Talento creates another assessment with (copy) in the name, today's assessment date, and the status Draft. It also copies the measures and changes their status to Pending.
The copy retains the remaining information, including the assessment review date and the measures' responsible people, implementation dates, and ratings. Review all of these values before activating it: copying speeds up the work but does not by itself demonstrate that a new assessment took place.
Result
You can verify the result in the team view or through the status described above.
Common problems
If an option is missing, it may depend on your permissions, the active modules, or company configuration. Ask an administrator to review your access; you do not need to repeat the task or choose an unsuitable alternative.
