Work with company reports

Review sensitive areas, preserve comparable filters, and prepare trustworthy exports. This article is for people who configure or administer this feature.

Contents

Before you begin

The Reports area provides purpose-built views for working time, overtime, activity, absences, feedback, contracts, and training. Each area answers a different question and limits results to the employees you are authorised to see.

Reports combine filters, tables, charts, and exports. Use them to investigate and make decisions, not to copy company information indiscriminately.

Information

Not everyone can open the reports dashboard or every area within it. The personal time tracking report is available from its own route; team and company reports require a manager or administrator role and the relevant permissions.

Export to Excel

In reports that offer Export to Excel:

  1. apply the final filters first;
  2. review a sample of the on-screen results;
  3. start the export;
  4. wait for the preparation message when it runs in the background;
  5. open the file and confirm its period, scope, and columns.

Some files download immediately; others are prepared in the background. Do not repeatedly select the export action while Talento is still confirming the process.

Warning

An export may contain personal, salary, or health-related employment data. Store it only in approved locations, restrict recipients, and delete it when it is no longer needed.

Interpret and share a report

Include context whenever you share a result:

  • report name and extraction date;
  • period and filters used;
  • population included and known exclusions;
  • pending data or problems;
  • the conclusion supported by the report and its limits.

Aggregates can hide small groups and organisational changes. Avoid identifying individuals in climate or equality analysis when a small population makes them recognisable.

Keep comparisons reliable

For recurring reports, document the filters and check whether permissions, categories, contracts, or team structures have changed. A difference may reflect business activity, but it can also come from changed scope or data corrected after the first extraction.

Use the source closest to the question. For example, expense reports explain recorded costs, while time tracking reports explain working time; combining them requires a clear definition of how they relate and what remains outside the comparison.

Result

You can confirm the result on the settings page, in the list, or in the status described in the steps above.

Common problems

If an option is missing, check that the module is active, that you have the specific permission, and that the record is within your scope. If the configuration is correct and the problem continues, keep the displayed message and contact support.
