Before you start
The CRM brings lead capture and sales follow-up together across leads, customers, contacts, opportunities, and activities. Its dashboard turns those records into priorities so the team can see what needs attention, which deals are moving, and where the pipeline is slowing down.
Information
What you see depends on the subscribed modules, your CRM and Customers permissions, and the records available to you. Two people can legitimately see different totals.
Open the CRM dashboard
Open the CRM dashboard for a summary of sales activity. If you have editing access, its action menu lets you create an activity, opportunity, or customer.
Depending on permissions, the dashboard can show:
- open-opportunity position and value;
- leads awaiting attention;
- overdue, current, and upcoming actions;
- recent sales activity;
- conversion by stage and lead source;
- open deals that need follow-up.
Use the dashboard to choose where to start, then open the underlying record before making a decision.
Work through the action queue
Start with overdue actions, then those due today. Open each activity to check the related person or opportunity, due date, status, and notes.
After a call, meeting, or task:
- update its status;
- record the useful outcome or context;
- create the next follow-up when work remains;
- confirm that the opportunity has a valid next action.
See Sales activities for planning and completion guidance.
Review leads and opportunities
The leads area helps you find new or pending entries. Use Leads to qualify, discard, or convert each potential contact.
Open Opportunities to switch between board and list views, filter by status or period, and review values, close dates, and owners. The pipeline summary follows the same filters as the opportunity view, so its value changes when you narrow the results.
Tip
Keep both an owner and a next action on every active deal. Complete values without a planned follow-up do not produce a useful forecast.
Result
You can verify the result in your personal area or through the status described above.
Common problems
If an option is missing, it may depend on your permissions, the active modules, or company configuration. Ask an administrator to review access; you do not need to repeat the task or choose an unsuitable alternative.
