Before you begin
Talento separates reusable rules from individual assignments:
- A schedule category contains the shared rules for a type of working day.
- A category can contain one or more dated schedules for different periods.
- Each schedule defines working-time ranges for the days of the week.
- An assignment applies a schedule category or shift to an employee for a date range.
- A rotating shift moves through several schedule categories over a cycle of weeks.
This structure lets a company apply the same plan to many people without entering working hours separately for each employee.
Review my assigned schedule
- Open Calendar.
- Select the day or period you want to check.
- Review the planned working ranges and hours.
You can also open Time tracking to compare planned hours with your actual clock-in entries.
The displayed schedule comes from the assignment active on that date. If your company changes your shift from a future date, moving forward in Calendar will show the new plan.
Tip
Check the coming week before arranging an absence or shift exchange. A rotating shift can change from one week to the next.
Understand changes and unavailable days
Calendar can show:
- one or more working ranges in a day;
- breaks between ranges;
- rest days and public holidays;
- approved schedule changes;
- assigned on-call duties;
- dates with no defined availability.
If a date that should be a working day has no schedule, report it before trying to clock in. Some schedule categories block time tracking when no valid plan exists.
Information
Depending on the schedule-category rules, a public holiday may be treated as a non-working day or retain the usual working schedule.
Result
You can confirm the result in your personal area or in the status described in the steps above.
Common problems
- Check the date and time zone.
- Look for an approved schedule change in that period.
- Confirm the assignment's start and end dates.
- Check which schedule version is active.
- For a rotation, review your starting position and the current week in the cycle.
