Before you begin
You need a schedule for the day and access to the clock-in method configured by your company. Talento may ask you to select a task, share your location, or use a fast check-in kiosk.
Start my working day
- Open Home.
- Select the activity you are starting if Talento shows a task list.
- Select Start activity.
- Allow location access when your office requires it.
Talento shows the activity as open. You cannot create a second regular clock-in entry that overlaps an active one.
Warning
Wait for the status to change before repeating the action. Selecting it several times while Talento processes the clock-in can make the result harder to verify.
Stop an activity
- Open Home or the active activity.
- Select Stop now to record the current time.
- If you are past the planned end and Talento offers the choice, decide whether to stop at the scheduled time.
- Confirm that no activity remains open.
Talento may request your location again when clocking out if location is required.
Review my clock-in entries
- Open Time tracking.
- Choose a daily, weekly, monthly, or custom period.
- Review the planned schedule, activities, worked total, and difference for each day.
- Open days with warnings to check for open entries, overlaps, or differences.
You can use the export action to download the selected report as an Excel file.
Correct a clock-in entry
- Open Time tracking.
- Select the times of the clock-in entry you need to correct.
- Change the relevant dates or times.
- Explain the correction in the audit comment.
- Save the changes.
When you have permission, you can also use Add on the relevant day to create a missing clock-in entry. An approved entry may be locked; in that case, ask your manager or an administrator to correct it.
Common problems
- An activity is still open: return to Home and stop it before starting another.
- The correction option is missing: your company may prevent you from managing past or approved activities.
- The total does not match: review the exact start and end of each activity and the planned schedule.
- You need another way to clock in: see Troubleshoot clock-in problems.
