Before you start
Surveys can collect opinions, check knowledge, or run one-off and recurring consultations. A survey can contain several sections and combine free-text, numeric, selection, rating, and date or time questions.
Participants respond from their personal area. People with survey-management permission decide who takes part, when the survey opens, whether responses are anonymous, and who can see the results.
Information
You only see surveys whose audience includes you or where you have been assigned as an evaluator. Creation and result access depend on your permissions.
Find a survey waiting for you
- Open Surveys.
- Review the active survey list.
- Use the status to distinguish surveys you have not started, responses in progress, and surveys you have completed.
- Select the survey you want to answer.
A survey attached to a training course opens from that course and may not appear in the general list. You may also receive a notification or direct link if the survey manager enabled participant notifications.
Respond to a survey
- Read the title and explanation before starting.
- Answer the questions in the first section.
- Select Save to continue to the next section.
- Repeat until you submit the final section.
Talento saves each section as you move forward. Required questions must have an answer before you can complete the submission; optional questions can be left blank.
After you submit the final section, the survey appears as Answered. You can open it to review the questions and your answers, but you can no longer change them.
Question types include:
- Free text: explain something in your own words.
- Selection: choose one or more available options.
- Rating: select a value on the scale provided.
- Number: enter a quantity or numeric result.
- Date or time: use the format requested by the question.
Tip
Review free-text answers carefully before submitting the final section. After submission, the response is read-only.
Understand survey privacy
The survey owner chooses whether responses are identified or anonymous. Anonymous surveys do not provide individual participant tracking in the result-management view.
Anonymity does not change what you write. If the survey is intended to be anonymous, avoid including names, personal details, or other context that could identify you.
Warning
Do not assume every survey is anonymous. Check the survey information or ask its owner before responding about sensitive matters.
Review completed surveys
- Open Surveys.
- Select View completed.
- Open a survey whose results are available to you.
A closed survey only appears to participants when its result-visibility settings allow it. A survey you answered may be missing because it is still active, belongs to a training course, or does not share results with participants afterwards.
Result
You can verify the result in your personal area or through the status described in the steps above.
Common issues
If an option is unavailable, it may depend on your permissions, active modules, or company settings. Ask an administrator to review your access; you do not need to repeat the task or choose an option that does not apply.
