Before you start
Talento brings the tasks you need for work into one place: checking your schedule, requesting an absence, reviewing documents, answering a survey, or following a project. The exact options depend on the features your company uses and your permissions.
The navigation is tailored to each person. It is therefore normal for an employee, a manager, and an administrator to see different menus.
Sign in to Talento
- Open the Talento address provided by your company. It will usually include the company name before
talentohq.com. - Enter your email address and password on the login page.
- Select Log into your account. Talento will take you to Home.
If you have forgotten your password, select Forgot your password? on the login page and enter your email. Use the address registered with your company.
Information
If Talento cannot find an active employee for your email address, contact an administrator. Your user account must be linked to an active employee record in the correct company.
Understand the main areas of the screen
Most pages use the same three areas:
- Side menu: groups the features available to you by area of work.
- Top bar: shows where you are and gives you access to search, notifications, and your personal menu.
- Main content: contains the information or task for the page you have opened.
On a smaller screen, the side menu is hidden to make room for the page. Use the menu button at the top to open it, choose a destination, and close it again if needed.
Move around the application
- Open a section in the side menu, such as Work, Talent, or Documents.
- Select the feature you want to use.
- Use the breadcrumb trail in the top bar to understand where you are or return to an earlier page.
- When a page has tabs, filters, or action buttons, start with its title and description. They explain which information is in view and what you can do with it.
Talento remembers which menu sections you leave open and may highlight features you use regularly. This does not change your access: permissions still determine what appears.
Find a page or record
Use Search… in the top bar to jump directly to a page, action, or record instead of browsing through the menu.
- Select Search…, or press
⌘ + Kon a Mac orCtrl + Kon Windows or Linux. - Enter the name of a page, person, document, project, or other record.
- Check the group shown with each result so you can distinguish pages, actions, and types of information.
- Select a result, or use the arrow keys and press
Enter.
Press Esc to close search. If the expected result does not appear, try a shorter term or the name used in Talento's interface.
Tip
Search only returns information you are allowed to view. If a colleague can find a record that you cannot, the difference is usually caused by permissions or visibility.
Use the personal menu
Select your name or profile image in the top bar to open your personal menu. From there you can update your details, configure device notifications, read the Talento changelog, open the Help center, contact support, or log out.
Always use Log out when you finish working on a shared or public device.
Result
You can verify the result in your personal area or through the status described above.
Common problems
Work through these checks before deciding there is a problem:
- Confirm whether you are in the personal area or the management area.
- Use Search… with the feature name.
- If you work with more than one company, confirm that you opened the correct one.
- Ask an administrator whether the feature is enabled and whether your permission group can use it.
The Help center explains the available features and separates instructions by user type.
